I could not have been more excited. My client (I do Reverse Mortgages as my Tentmaking) was the House Mom at Philadelphia largest Strip Club. I though I had died and gone to Heaven. No – not because she offered me free comps anytime I wanted (I graciously declined), but because here was a 72 year old woman who had a bond and mothering relationship with over 110 women. Students, Realtors, Housewives etc – Yes all types she told me. I asked her about their lives, why they “danced”, etc. It was AWESOME!
I asked if there was a need for outside support to help serve the ladies. People to do hair, makeup, fingernails, bring home cooked meals, errands, wash their cars, rides home, babysitting – yes babysitting. And there was and is a NEED.
I began to imagine, sensitized FEMALE believers going to strip clubs with home cooked meals and offering genuine service to these ladies. Making friends, listening to life stories, celebrating small victories BEING JESUS in places where others may not go. I was overwhelmed with the possibility. The Harvest is Plentiful ………So as the song says “I CAN ONLY IMAGINE”
